Child Welfare
Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility. If you are worried about a child it is important that you report your concerns – no action is not an option.
1.
If you are worried about a child then you need to report your concerns to our Club Welfare Officer via email:
2.
If the issue is one of poor practice she will either:
- Deal with the matter herself or
- Seek advice from the County FA Welfare Officer
3.
If the concern is more serious – possible child abuse – please contact the London County FA Welfare Officer safeguarding@LondonFA.com then immediately contact the Police or Children’s Services.
4.
If the child needs immediate medical treatment take them to a hospital or call an ambulance and tell them this is a child protection concern. Let our Club Welfare Officer know what action you have taken
5.

Do you need to talk?
Are you a worried child?
If you’re a worried child and need to talk to someone, then Ellie, our club welfare officer, is ready to listen to your worries. She can usually be found at training on a Tuesday night or you can contact her via email: welfareafcwandsworth@gmail.com or ellie@afcwandsworth.co.uk.
It’s great having Ellie as our Club Welfare Officer as she’s here to help keep all our fantastic footballers safe and sound, so if you’re feeling sad about something then please talk to her.
If you don’t feel you can speak to Ellie directly, then perhaps you can tell an adult that you trust or a friend and they can talk to Ellie for you? Or, maybe you could talk to someone you can trust who doesn’t know you?
You can contact the FA at safeguarding@londonfa.com or Mobile:
07938 489199 (Available Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm).
Don’t feel down – share your troubles!

Their main number is 0800 1111 but they even have a special football hotline which is 0808 800 5000.
